Welcome to StandardsWorks 2.0

The Committee Participant edition of this user guide is for new and experienced participants using StandardsWorks 2.0 to join committees, participate in the development of work-in-progress (WIP) drafts, exchange comments, attend working group meetings, and vote on ballots.

You can use StandardsWorks 2.0 on a desktop computer, laptop, or mobile device, including Apple computers running macOS, Windows PCs, and smartphones or tablets running Android or iOS as demonstrated below. When using a touch-screen device, substitute click in this user guide with tap.

Tip: This guide provides general knowledge about the features in StandardsWorks designed to support the needs of committee participants. For specific guidance, consult your committee. Eight (8) SAE Councils also maintain their own set of operating procedures which can be found in the Council Resources section of the Resources tab on each Committee page.

Start Using SAE StandardsWorks 2.0

  1. In your web browser, navigate to the following URL:
    https://standardsworks.sae.org

  2. You can also start at the sae.org home page and click Standards Works under the Standards menu.

  3. The StandardsWorks is loading… message appears.

Tip: Performance depends on a variety of factors including your internet service provider, current network connection speeds, hardware processor, operating system, web browser, other files or programs in memory, and more. For best results, maintain your device, apply applicable maintenance and security updates, and periodically clear your browser history and cache files.
